    Here is a list of businesses that are 100% vegan, and most of them are owned by vegans as well. Rabbit Food has a map that you can pick up at their awesome store and they also have an online map. I also have a MEGA list of places in Austin with vegan options divided by part of town.

    Food Trailers and Restaurants 

    Casa De Luz– All vegan macrobiotic buffet, behind Barton Springs on Toomey. A really lovely place with shared tables. The menu changes daily. Hippie.

    Counter Culture– 2337 East Cesar Chavez Street All vegan diner with buffalo mac and cheese balls, soul food burrito, and mushroom beet burger and lots of raw and engine 2 friendly items. Raw style desserts. I love their weekend brunch. Open until 10pm. Weekly specials on facebook.

    The Vegan Yachtat The Four Five 5212 Manchaca Road. I love the Freeto Burritos at this all vegan eatery and store, it’s tempeh chili, organic corn chips, avocado, and vegan cheese in a grilled burrito. You can get it “Supreemo” style where they add romaine and onion. They also have a Freeto Pie, a buffalo burrito, mock chick’n salad and more.  Open Daily except for Mondays. Check their facebook for current news.

    Cheer Up Charlie’s– 900 Red River St All vegan bar. Fun place, with lots of events, raw vegan chocolate & Kombucha on tap. Super LGBTQIA friendly.

    Sweet Ritual 4631 Airport Blvd you will find a magical vegan ice cream parlor with waffle cones, caramel sauce, crazy specials, and sundaes galore. They even have gluten free options and are so so vegan that you don’t have to worry for one second about eating something weird. Very conscious of special dietary needs with alternatives like sunflower-butter and paleo flavors. Here is a post about the menu from the ice cream social when they first opened and a 2015 post about what the ice cream is made out of.

    Capital City Bakery–  2211 East Cesar Chavez. The best vegan baked goods in town. For real. Apple Pie ala mode Peanut Butter Crunch cupcakes this is where it’s at. I really love the ham and cheese kolaches and the brownies. You can also special order cakes.

    The Vegan Nom 2324 East Cesar Chavez and MULTIPLE LOCATIONS. The Best Vegan Tacos, I love the Migas, the Three Amigos, the Korean BBQ and the Birdie Sanders. Sometimes they have barbecued seitan with jalapeno mac and cheese on special and it’s one of my favorite tacos in the world. Check their facebook and instagram for specials and hours.

    Conscious Cravings– 1311 S 1st St and other MULTIPLE LOCATIONS trailer vegan trailer with lots of really fantastic wraps, sandwiches, salads, and smoothies. I  love the Spicy Chickpea but the Seitan Chimichurri, Portabella Mushroom, and Blackened Tofu are all close behind. Open 11-8. My Review There are multiple locations now, the other is in the Mueller Development. And you can get it delivered by Favor or Prime Now.

    Arlo’s Austin On the Cheer Up Charlies patio and other MULTIPLE LOCATIONS. An all vegan trailer with the best Bac’n Cheeze Burger in town or maybe the world. Plus, a BBQ burger, Chili Dogs, Chick’n Tacos, and Chip & Guac. Open 8pm to 2am Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My review

    Cool Beans–  22908 Fruth st behind the Spider House. This Mexican trailer has fresh corn tamales and tacos with homemade tortillas. Here is my review

    Bistro Vonish 701 E 53rd St at Possum Park This all vegan trailer with pizzas, homemade kolaches, and specials that change with the season. It gets better and better all the time. They also have a popular brunch.

     Happy Vegan Bakery 8309B Research Blvd Although you can get her pastries and savory food in quite a few spots in town, there is also this storefront in north Austin with to-go food like Mac & Cheese.

    Curcuma – Healthy bowls and Golden Mylk will keep you coming back to this well-regarded trailer.

    The Beer Plant– 3110 Windsor Rd. Vegan Gastropub with full bar, happy hour, and dinner entrees like fish and chips with hearts of palm subbing in for fish and a barbecued seitan sandwich. Weekend Brunch includes chicken and waffles, Tofu Migas, and French Toast.

    Revolution Vegan Kitchen 7800 S. 1st Street. Tacos, burgers, curly fries, enchiladas and other plates at this food trailer on the south west side. They have recently been offering brunch. Here is my review 

    Veggie Heaven 1611 W. Fifth This classic campus Asian style restaurant reopened under new management on the west side. Favorites like Protein 2000, Tangerine Mushrooms, and Bubble Tea remain the same.

    Anti Social Ice Cream (formally Vicecreme) 6650 Comanche Trail #109 by the Oasis on Lake Travis. All vegan ice cream shop.

    Milky Way Shakes – All vegan milkshake trailer by the Vegan Nom with house-made coconut-based ice cream and almond milks. They also have aquafaba based meringues and other fun toppings. Try the Violet Beauregarde (blueberries, meringue, candied flower) or the Oreo Borealis (mint, fudge, Oreos) or build your own.

    Zucchini Kill Bakery  701 E 53rd ST. SUITE C at Possum Park. Brick and mortar vegan bakery with house-made Twinkies, cupcakes, doughnuts. Everything is gluten-free & soy free. You can also pick up their treats at Counter Culture and the Buzzmill. 10-percent discount to musicians traveling through Austin.

    Plow Burger 1505 Town Creek DR.  Inside the BuzzMill Coffeehouse. They serve the beyond burger with very creative weekly topping specials, fries, and Nadamoo shakes. You can also find their sandwiches wrapped to-go around town. 11-11 Order at the Buzzmill Counter. Second Location at the Flag Store on 45th& Duval.

    Bodhi Viet Vegan Cuisine 2301 W Parmer Ln All veggie Vietnamese trailer with more exciting options than most of Austin’s Vietnamese spots. Try the soups!

    Austin Food Company & GreenSpace Cafe  at the Squarerut Kava Bar on Barton Springs. Mineral Rich vegan food like local grain bowls, Goodness Gracious Wild Stir-fry, and Electrified Wild Blueberry Pancakes made with Irish Sea moss and ancient grains, topped with freshly made date sauce.. Also has weekly meal plans.

    Nadamoo Scoop Shop 1701 South Lamar Blvd You can get the retail flavors on a cone and cover it with all sorts of toppings and also be the first to try their in-house flavors. I had the chile mango and coconut the other day and they were delicious! They also have Capital City treats and a full on espresso program.

    Nissi VegMex Vegan Mexican Cuisine 1106 E. 11th street. An all vegan Mexican spot has plates of tacos, burritos, taquitos filled with options like al pastor or fajitas and all of your other favorites served with rice beans. I think their queso might be the best in town!

    Lil Nonna’s 440 E. St. Elmo Rd. This AMAZING pizza shop has housemade cheeses, a “meat” lovers pizza with the best BEETaroni ever, Sicilian slices, and the weekly specials. You are pretty much guaranteed to love it. And they are open until midnight. If you are in a hurry call in your order.

    Citizen Eatery  5011 Burnet Rd transformed from vegetarian to 100% vegan in October 2018. This cafe and bar in north Austin has all day breakfast, a bar with cocktails made from cold-pressed juices and tea infusions and a lunch and dinner menu that is super GF friendly.

    Fat Cats Organic Coffee & Desserts 7020 Easy Wind Dr, Ste 140  vegan pastries, organic coffee, a wide selection of vegan milks (7 types!) and vegan ice creams at this cute all vegan coffee shop.

    Next Level Burger 525 N Lamar Blvd Inside Whole Foods at 6th and Lamar. This 100% plant-based burger shop has a huge variety of patties and toppings for the burgers along with fries or tots with cheese sauce or not, and then a range of coconut based milkshakes. Open from 11-10. Introverts take note that all orders are on iPads.

    Wasota Vegan Paradise  701 East 53rd at Possum Park. Beloved by all, Wasota Vegan Paradise lives up to the name, especially if your idea of paradise includes Akara and fried plantains. In this newest incarnation, they also have oil-free options.

    Sundaze North 701 e 53rd at Possum Park The best No-Frick’n-Chick’n Sandwich I’ve ever had! They also handmake their sauces like buffalo, ranch, curry, and honey mustard. You can also order little nugs (adorable) and fries. The south location has all the same vegan items but also non-vegan alternatives.

    East Austin Coffee 2324 East Cesar Chavez All vegan coffee trailer next to the Vegan Nom.

    Gati Ice Cream shop 1512 Holly Street. Currently, a coconut based vegan and GF ice cream truck that moves to different locations but the permanent shop is being built. The same people behind Thai Fresh create the ice cream with flavors like the Green Monster – Dark green organic spirulina with toasted black sesame seeds. Check their FB for updates on locations.

    Sassy’s Vegetarian Soul Food 1403 E 7th Street. Food trick with a variety of vegan waffles with fried “Chicon” and other specials like “Soul Falafel”, Three Green Medley, and Oven Baked Sweet Potato w/Vegan Bacon. If you feel like you are missing something on your vegan diet, this is the place to go!

    Kitchen for the Soul Spider House Cafe 2906 Fruth Street.  Arepas, Tacos, or Lettuce Wraps & Tapas. Daily specials like Mofongo & Thai Pineapple Risotto.

    Possum Pizza – 1210 Parker Ln. All Vegan Pizza Trailer in South Austin.

    Bruja’s Brew Kombucha 2324 E. Cesar Chavez St Kombucha drinks, shots, and seasonal vegan small plates like a grilled cheese sandwich with kale chips, pumpkin spice popcorn, and gazpacho.

    Pie Jacked –  1105 S Mays St Round Rock. Allergen and Gluten Free pie shop with other baked goods as well.

    Plow-B-Q – E 7th & Shady Ln at the Buzzmill Shady location. Sister Truck to Plow burger Plowbq focuses on bbq with traditional sides. Smoked @elpalote.vegan vegan meats and @happeavegans ribz and sides like Elote Creamed Corn with Chamoy and Chili Powder, topped with parmesan.

    Plow Bao – 1505 Town Creek Dr at the Buzzmill. Plant-Based Bao & Dim Sum. Opens late 2019.

    The Last Straw – 1914 E 6th St. Ste C Tropical themed bar that changed their food menu to totally vegan! Pastor tostadas or fries with queso with your Mai Tai or come in at brunch for hangover hash or a breakfast burrito.

    The Mission Burrito -1729 E. Riverside on the corner of Parker Ln. San Francisco style burritos with Carne Asada, Pollo Asado, Al Pastor, and weekly specials like banana blossom fried fish! All topped with credo queso and sour cream.

    Dear Diary Coffeehouse – 1212 Chicon Street Unit 103 This coffeeshop has all the standard offerings with oat, soy, and almond milk along with coldbrew, wine, beer, along with treats like Celeste’s Best cookies and other treats like Banana Bread, Chocolate donuts and other baked goods from Wheatsville, and other snacks. Currently, while everything is closed during the pandemic you can order from their online store which includes growler’s of cold brew and other essentials for your caffeine needs.

    HapPea Vegans 1403 East 7th St at the Outpost Food Park. Outrageously good southern comfort and Asian fusion. Ordering them is very tricky and sells out fast. Follow them on instagram and check back regularly to see changing menus and ordering windows. Some of their meats and other products are available at Rabbit Food Grocery.

    Cosmos Kitchen 701 East 53rd at Possum Park. Street tacos made from vegan bistec, al pastor, sirloin, and soyrizo. Some GF and SF options.

    Kind Cakes 12400 Amherst Dr – Takeout and Delivery only cupcakes and cakes. Beautiful custom cakes are also available made to order.

    Nom Burgers 2324 E Cesar Chavez St, From the owners of the Vegan Nom this trailer has a variety of burgers, fries, and wings.

    Rabbit Food Grocery  2425A Exposition Blvd An all vegan grocery store packed with all the vegan goodies that are hard to find anywhere else. They also have vegetables, exotic cheeses, vitamins, local handmade knitted items, dog food, and more.

    The Wandering Vegan Market – This pop-up market brings together local vegan arts & craft makers along with food vendors and bakers in different spots around town on weekends. Check out their Facebook to find an event,

    White Mountain Foods 3301 East 5th St., Austin, TX.  This local health food manufacturer has a product store at the factory selling items like vegan tamales and chorizo. Open 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

    Meal Delivery

    Super Natural Food– vegan, raw food delivery service. Deliveries are made each evening between 7:00PM and 10:00PM. Clients have the option to choose from a two-day, five-day or seven-day meal plan.

    Catering

    Simply Nice– 100% plant-based in-home chef services, event catering and more!

    Sattva & Soul Catering – combines African American soul food cuisine with the healing philosophy and 6 taste of India’s Ayurvedic Cuisine.

    Seed Catering a boutique plant-based catering company serving the greater Austin area. They also show up at Texas Veg Fest and other events.

    BBQ Revolution – This all-vegan barbecue company will cater your event.

    Counter Culture – This awesome vegan restaurant can do off-site catering, meaning you order (off menu is fine) and pick up. You have to have your own servers and equipment. They can make pretty much anything that people request. They have even hosted wedding receptions and rented out our patio for private catered events.

    Raven’s Regale – a custom bakery in Hyde Park, Raven’s Regale does custom orders, catering orders, and also offers menu consultations and vegan mentoring. They are set up at the monthly Wandering Vegan Market.

    The Element – This sustainability-focused apartment complex is a completely animal-cruelty-free community, so they host all vegan events, and none of their materials were produced using animal products. They also have no breed restrictions on pets and a dog park. And an organic gardening. Ownership donates a high percentage of profits toward animal, justice & environmentally oriented charities.
